The Age Of Incarceration

I am writing a book about the history of the prison since the eighteenth century. Published in Spring 2026 by Hutchinson Heinemann in the UK and Commonwealth, and WW Norton in North America, The Age of Incarceration will explore the rise of the prison over three centuries through the stories of nine jails and their inmates.
